The 16th ACM Multimedia Systems Conference will be held from March 31st to April 4th, 2025 in Stellenbosch, South Africa

Author Guidelines

Please make sure to follow the guidelines below while preparing your camera-ready submission. These guidelines apply to all tracks in general. For instructions related to specific tracks, refer to the corresponding section at the end of the page.

General

  • Include all modifications requested by the reviewers and shepherd (if any) in the camera-ready paper.
  • Upload the camera-ready paper by the deadline listed here.
  • Accompany each camera-ready paper with an author registration as detailed here.
  • Complete the ACM rights management form (eRights form). This can be done via the paper submission site by going to the "Edit" tab of your accepted paper once the site is configured to collect final camera-ready versions.
  • Make sure rights management statement and bibliographic strip is correct (as sent to you by ACM after completing the copyright eRights form) and on the bottom of the first page left column.
  • Important: If you plan to change the title of your accepted paper, update it in HotCRP first before submitting the eRights form. The title on the eRights form must match the one on HotCRP.

Formatting

  • Use the official template.
  • Do not adjust the margins.
  • The templates use a new font set (Libertine), which needs to be installed before using the templates.
  • Fonts used in the official template cannot be substituted.
  • Use Type 1 and TrueType fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bit-mapped).
  • Sometimes, issues with fonts may come from the figures. Be sure to check them as well
  • Fonts must be embedded in PDF file. To check if fonts are embedded correctly:
    1. Open file in Adobe Acrobat or Reader
    2. Click on the "File" menu option
    3. Click on "Document Properties"
    4. Click on the "Fonts" tab
    5. Each font listed should have "(Embedded) or "(Embedded Subset)" next to the font name
  • Include keywords, CCS Concepts and ACM Reference format on the first page.
  • Do not number the pages.
  • Use the correct page headers (see below) and make sure they do not overlap.
